matthew scott is a creative director and visual storyteller.
Every brand has a story, and understanding how to tell that story is how I connect brands with their customers. Whether it is through social or film, I find that story and shape it into something that people can actually feel.

about me
I am a Chicago-born, NYC based, creative director, producer, filmmaker, and musician. I have recorded and toured across the US and UK, composed music for triple A video game properties, directed commercials for institutions like The Alamo, and built content strategies for brands reaching millions of people across every major social media platform.
My path through music, film, and brand development has given me a unique perspective when it comes to telling brand’s stories. Growing up on Chicago’s Southside, surrounded by music and the visual arts, I learned how to create stories that make a person feel.
Whether it’s finding an organization’s truth in a 60 second commercial, shaping a brand’s social presence, or directing a music video, the question is the same: what is the real story, and how do we tell it?
I currently live and work in NYC, where I lead creative for a podcast reaching millions of listeners daily and I am in post-production on Elegy, my debut musical film.
